Welcome to Arusha, the safari capital of Tanzania! After arriving at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your guide will transfer you to your lodge. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure, exploring the vibrant city or relaxing by the pool. Evening welcome dinner and safari briefing.
Drive to Lake Natron, a soda lake at the base of Ol Doinyo Lengai volcano. The lake is a critical breeding ground for lesser flamingos. Enjoy guided walks to nearby waterfalls and learn about the unique ecosystem.
Travel to the remote Northern Serengeti, the prime location for witnessing the dramatic Mara River crossings of the Great Migration (July-October). Watch as thousands of wildebeest and zebras brave crocodile-infested waters. Game drives along the Mara River with picnic lunch.
Descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa's most extraordinary natural wonders. The 260 sq km caldera floor hosts over 25,000 animals including the rare black rhino. Spot lions, elephants, hippos, wildebeest, zebras, and flamingos. Picnic lunch on the crater floor.
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park. Known for its iconic baobab trees and the highest concentration of elephants in northern Tanzania, Tarangire offers exceptional game viewing. Enjoy a full day of game drives along the Tarangire River, spotting elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, and over 500 bird species. Picnic lunch in the park.
Start the day with a scenic hike to Materuni Waterfalls, an 80-meter cascade at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro. Enjoy a traditional coffee-making experience with the Chagga community, from roasting to brewing your own cup. Swim in the natural pool at the waterfall base.
